PPP Finalizes Move to Replace PM Anwar ul Haq —Bilawal Bhutto to Announce New Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Soon

In a major political development, Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq is set to resign as the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) prepares to form a new government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The decision follows an important meeting chaired by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Islamabad, where key party leaders discussed the region’s shifting political landscape and the need for renewed leadership.

According to reliable party sources, the PPP has finalized its strategy and will officially announce the name of the new Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir within the next two days. President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has also confirmed and endorsed Bilawal Bhutto’s decision, signaling strong alignment between the party’s central and regional leadership.

This move marks the culmination of weeks of political maneuvering, following growing dissatisfaction within the Azad Kashmir Assembly over Anwar ul Haq’s governance. The PPP, which holds significant strength in the assembly, appears confident about forming the next government with broad-based support.

Analysts believe this transition could bring political stability to the region, particularly as the PPP seeks to strengthen its influence across Pakistan-administered territories ahead of upcoming national developments. The announcement of the new Prime Minister is expected to be made in Muzaffarabad in the coming days.
